Exciting announcement!
Join us for the grand opening of our first collaborative upcycled clothing event!
Our open studio is a collaborative effort brought to life by a vintage shop “Botão Solidário! and an eco project “REcolur. Anti-Voque”, in partnership with ARTE.M artistic and cultural association, Sociohabitafunchal, E.M, GrenerAct and Madeira Fitness Friend.
Our mission? To promote sustainability in both lifestyle and fashion.
Location: Solidarity Workshop, Basement of the 2000 building, Avenida Galouste Gulbenkian
Date: 15 of March, 2024
Time: 10.00-16.00
We'll have two skilled seamstresses on hand to bring the ideas of our nomadic creators to life. Bring your old clothes to recycle and transform them into something new! Here's what to expect:
· Identification of clothes for upcycling.
· Removal of zips and buttons (no sewing skills required for this task).
· Creation and sketching of desired garment designs.
The completed upcycling artworks can be showcased and sold at the Vintage shop Botão Solidário, with proceeds supporting the youth of Madeira.
Alternatively, upcycled clothing may also become part of our First upcycled fashion show in October '24!
